CARTEL OF CHEMINEE of form moved with marquetry known as "Boulle" in brown tortoiseshell and inlaid brass of garlands of flowers in frontage and of lambrequin in high part. Large white enamel dial with a center decorated with gold foliage rosette, twelve cartouches with Roman numerals and minute contour in Arabic numerals, blue hand. Rich decoration of gilded bronzes with acanthus motifs and foliated frames, an Allegory of Time dressed in Roman style holding the keys on a base of shell and foliated volutes. Apron with a quiver and torch motif flanked by mascarons. Two front legs in console ending in gadrooned balls. At the damping is a putto sitting on a pyramidion. Interior inlaid with "counterpart" of semi-circular paving on the base and a stylized shield on the back door. It opens at the front by a glass door and at the back on the mechanism signed "J.F. Larsé Paris". Regency period. 74 x 37 x 17 cm (small damages and restorations) Jean-François LARSE, Master clockmaker in the enclosure Saint-Denis of Chartres in 1714, then rue Pagevin in 1722
