Victor ELSCHANSKY (1913 - 1981). The Boot. Circa 1950/70. Silver print from the period pasted on cardboard. On verso, label "Groupe des 5" and stamp of the author. Full size about 35,6 x 23,3 cm. Provenance : Belgian private collection www.elschansky.com Born on July 12, 1913, he started a successful career as an engineer, but his real passion was photography. After the Second World War, he was part of many clubs and joined a new wave and/or generation of artists (Photographers, painters,) who were part of the young Belgian painting. This "Subjective Fotografie" movement, led by Otto Steinert, reached the whole world and many books and exhibitions in the USA, Japan and Europe made this movement known. Victor Elschansky's name appears in many publications. He is a permanent member of the E.F.I.A.P. International Federation of Photographic Art.
