DUROC]. Grand Maréchal du Palais. 2 bills to General Duroc, governor of the Palais. (Paris), 7 floréal year X (17 April 1802), 2 pp. in-folio, head engraved "Au Vase d'Or"; 28 thermidor year X (16 August 1802), 2 pp. engraved header "Au Vase d'Or"; 28 thermidor year X (16 August 1802), 2 ½ pp. in-folio, engraved header of "Lolive, de Beuvry Cie, Lingère". Invoices in the name of General Duroc, then Governor of the Palace of Bonaparte, intended for his wife. The first invoice concerns an important set of jewels: several earrings including a pair of earrings, several rich necklaces including white shells, (...) 30 bezels, with agate and enamelled links, or vase of roses surrounded by riveted pearls, a large coral necklace; combs with bracelets and pins with assorted gems, a gold belt, a round gold box with a secret frame engraved rock crystal, enamel net around the portraits, 1 black tortoiseshell bathtub shaped box two portraits enamel net, gold lining and 2 rock crystals (...); a solid mahogany case with copper corners (...) lined in white velvet white velvet; several brilliants and stones, etc. Set provided by the House A Vase d'Or held by the jewellers Foncier, Malide and Marguerite Rue St-Honoré n°127, for a total of 30.431 francs. The second invoice concerns the supply of the wedding trousseau for Madame Duroc: veils and lace, embroidered muslin dresses and Jewish or peplum, fichus, ribbons, garters, gold or ivory fans, mahogany toiletries of toilet in mahogany, and fitted out in red morocco, sultans in velvet, etc., all supplied by the House of Lolive et de Beuvry, lingères, for a total of 30,510 fr. General Duroc married on August 2, 1802 Marie-des-Neiges Martinez de Hervas (1788-1871), daughter of a rich Spanish banker banker and minister of Joseph Bonaparte, later created Marquis of Almenara, with whom he had two children, Napoleon-Louis (1811-1812) and Hortense (1812-1829).
